Becoming Canadian
Documentary, 25 minutes

A unique documentary filmed over a year in English as a Second Language class. In the course of the film we get to know personalities of twenty-five adult students from all continents, who shed their protective psychological “coats” while they are getting more and more eloquent in a common language. Eventually they are able to tell each other their “ethnic” jokes that elicit waves of laughter.
