About Novina Motion Pictures

Novina Motion Pictures Inc. was established on January 18, 1988 in Manitoba and as an interprovincial company in Saskatchewan on July 17, 1997.

Since its inception, Novina Motion Pictures Inc. has produced both dramatic and documentary films that have garnered national and international awards and were broadcast in Canada on CBC, Global, SCN and on German, Polish, Australian and many other networks.

About Jan Nowina-Zarzycki

Jan Nowina-Zarzycki has worked as a freelancer in film and television in Poland and in Canada for more than 30 years. He has accumulated a wealth of experience as a writer, producer, director, line producer, picture editor and story editor on various projects from short experimental pieces to theatrical features.

After making several more 8 and 16 mm films, Jan Nowina-Zarzycki began his professional filmmaking career as an Assistant then Unit Director on feature films and television series in Poland.

Aside from the listed projects Jan Nowina-Zarzycki has worked on many more as a Screenwriter, Story Editor, Line Producer, Camera Operator, directing and producing a stage play, etc., both in Canada and his native Poland.
