Vera Campaign
Documentary, 33 minutes

During the workers’ lunch break the educators stage comedy skits, make posters, organize a happening by drowning a humongous cigarette in a fountain at the front of main entrance of the factory, scatter leaflets from rooftops during shift changes, etc. The form of the film consciously reflects and spoofs those of the 1920s “propaganda trains” that were sent to convince peasants to embrace the Soviet Union communist way of life.
